Today’s NYTimes has a story about actor/photographer Leonard Nimoy’s artsy nude photos of overweight women.
He describes his photos as a reaction to unrealistic pressure placed on women to be thin by the media and fashion industries.
The article appears between women’s fashion ads for Macy’s and Saks Fifth Avenue.
I particularly appreciate the ad on the right. Below the stick-thin, shapeless model’s feet appear the words Happy Mother’s Day.
